Baby Shower Fun!

My baby shower on January 16th, 2010 was awesome! The girls who put it all together did a great job, and there were so many people there, I'm not even sure I got to say hi to everyone. Thanks so much to the hard workers who put it together- Jenny, Linsay, Terri, Crystal, Mom (Kathy), Andrea, and Susan. I didn't have control of the camera, so I didn't get pictures of everyone. If you have more pictures, please send them to me.

35 weeks pregnant!

THE CAKE
Clearly, the theme is a farm, and Linsay went over the top with this cake. Enjoy all the details.

Little pigs

Chicks

Cows and a longhorn

Ducks in the pond

Veggie garden

DECORATIONS

Diaper cake

All the food was marked with cute little sayings.

The Watering Hole- oops just noticed the misspelling on the sign. If I didn't notice, I'm sure no one else did.

Party favors

The barn

Even the balloons had farm animal faces!

THE GAMES

Taking my measurements
40.5 inches around the tummy, 39.5 around the bust. This really is why it took so long to look pregnant.

Poopy diaper game

Katie is really getting into it!

Making Nash from Shad and Cortney pictures. This was really interesting.
Here are 2 adult ones. I find them kind of creepy.

And the child entries:

GIFTS
Here are just a few pictures of some of the gifts. There were too many to include them all.

My nursing cover- mainly for Shad's sake. I don't know about that face.

Crystal made this sling and here I am trying it on. Almost looks like a baby without a head is in there.

Again, thank you to all who were involved! It was a very fun and relaxing for me!

Shad update

Well, Shad made it to Arizona, after a terrible 25 hour trip. He pulled a trailer loaded down with 10,000 lbs with that accidentally new truck. He reports in everyday at 5:30am to work out, again at 9am for formation and then at 1pm. Otherwise, he doesn't have much to do. He is enjoying his time at the Motel 6, but he will hopefully be signing a lease on a house today. It is so weird to have no grass at all. The yards are just rocks. The dogs will have some big adjustments.

On another note, I have officially 5 weeks left, maximum, until Nash is born. We will induce on Feb. 15th if he doesn't decide to come before that. We decided Shad will come down the weekend before that regardless of when I have him, just so we can plan for the trip, etc. I feel kind of bad because I really want him out sooner than later. I'm sure that is a normal feeling though.
