Memorial Day

Memorial Day was a blast. We went to Lake Livingston with some family friends and stayed in their lake house. It is beautiful there and we love being invited. My sister, Merrilee, and my brother, Marty, and his girlfriend, Erika, were also there. Every time I go, I become more convinced of the need for a lakehouse in our future.

The weather was great on Monday.
There were jet skis and tubes for lots of water fun!

Even the dogs got in the water. You can see it took a little coaxing at first ( at least for Kinzie b/c she is rather snobby, Sydney loved it from the first day).
They even met a friend named Izzy who loved swimming with them. In the corner you can see Max, Erika's dog, with his life jacket on. He is a little guy but did pretty well. I think there were as many dogs there as humans. :)

Soon they were all over chasing ducks. It is a good thing they couldn't keep up.

We still can't get them to jump in from the peir, but we will take what we can get for now.

Just one last picture of us. Can any of you tell that Shad has been working out like crazy? They should list that perk in the military recruiting books for the girlfriends and wives- "may lead to extreme hot body." haha.

The first adventure of the chocolate covered cherries

Our soon-to-be famous travelling box of chocolate covered cherries on its first adventure. We went to New Braunfels for 5 days in April with Shad's family and had a great time. Here is some proof.

Carly with the cherries

That is right. The cherries even went to the river. They stayed in the car and waited for us to return.

The whole family together with the box. I think Jenny's hair is making it hard for her to hold her head upright. :)

The box didn't make it too well, so a new box will have to be adopted. Look for more adventures of our box of cherries.

Here are some other things we did:

The boys played too much Wii.

We went to Gruene a couple of times to eat.

Took pictures of me and random old men.

Can you tell?

Can you tell which one is Sydney (the puppy)?  It is getting harder and harder to tell them apart.

If you guessed the one on the left is Sydney- you are correct.

Here are a few more pictures of my kids.
